The most important thing to know is this:

Being legally allowed to ride a scooter in Queensland does not automatically mean Uber Eats will approve your licence for scooter delivery.

As of August 2026, Uber accepts a full, unrestricted Australian driver licence for motorbike deliveries. Uber does allow eligible overseas licences for car delivery in Queensland and several other states, but that overseas-licence option does not currently extend to motorbike or scooter delivery.

Can I Deliver for Uber Eats on an Overseas Motorcycle Licence?

Currently, no.

Uber’s Australian requirements state that a full, unrestricted Australian licence is accepted for motorbike deliveries in all states and territories.

Its overseas-licence pathway applies to car deliveries in selected states, including Queensland.

That means you could potentially be legally riding a motorcycle in Queensland on an overseas licence while still being ineligible to use that licence for Uber Eats scooter delivery.

This is where a lot of international riders get caught out.

Queensland road law decides whether you can legally operate the vehicle.

Uber decides whether your documents satisfy its platform requirements.

They are two different tests.

Being approved to rent a scooter from Motiond does not mean you’re automatically approved to deliver for Uber Eats.

If Uber Eats is your reason for renting the scooter, check your Uber eligibility before starting the rental.

What Licence Do I Need for a Suzuki Address UK110?

The Suzuki Address UK110 is a 110cc scooter.

It does not fall within Queensland’s 50cc moped category and therefore requires an appropriate motorcycle licence.

A normal car licence alone is not sufficient.

For Uber Eats delivery, the licence must also satisfy Uber’s current requirement for motorbike delivery.

I’m an International Rider. Do I Need to Transfer My Overseas Licence?

It depends on your residency status.

Queensland currently requires certain people who establish residence in Queensland to transfer their licence after living in the state for 3 months.

This includes:

• Australian citizens who have moved to Queensland and lived there for 3 months
• people who held a resident visa before moving to Queensland and have lived there for 3 months
• people granted a resident visa after arriving who have held that visa while living in Queensland for 3 months

Queensland defines a resident visa for these purposes as a permanent visa or special category visa allowing indefinite stay. Temporary, business and guardian visas are treated differently.

Even if Queensland law doesn’t yet require you to transfer your licence, Uber’s motorbike delivery requirements can still require an Australian licence.

How Do I Transfer an Overseas Motorcycle Licence to Queensland?

Queensland Government currently requires overseas licence transfer applicants to provide things such as:

• their overseas driver licence
• original evidence-of-identity documents
• evidence of Queensland residency

You must also meet the minimum age requirement for the Queensland licence class you’re applying for.
